"Keep it Local"
Regional Farmers Market 2016
This event is aptly named “Keep it Local Wednesdays” as this title pays homage to the local farmers and artisans it will showcase on Franklin Street in downtown Torrington. Each Wednesday (July 7th through October) they will offer farm fresh produce from local Connecticut farms, baked goods from local bakeries, Holistic herbs and teas, skin care products, chair massages and much more!
Keep it Local Wednesdays provides the perfect opportunity for health conscious individuals or families to explore, purchase, and enjoy local foods, services, and goods.
Starting July 7th, and running every Thursday until October from 4-7pm (9pm during marketplace), join our farmers and vendors in the KidsPlay parking lot on 24 Water Street in downtown Torrington, just around the corner from Main Street Market Place.
We have organic produce from local Connecticut farms West Street Farm in Goshen, Spice Bush Hill Farm in Morris and Heritage Gardens of Winchester, and cut specialty flowers from Main Street Blooms
Looking for ice cream? We have ice cream pints from Arethusa Farm Dairy, SoCo Creamery, and, for you vegans, Jawea Frozen Desserts, made from coconut cream and no dairy! For an ice cold drink on a hot summer's day, have a Root Beer or Cream Soda from Rollie's Soda, or a Katalyst Kombucha. Or, try some delicious artisan breads from Berkshire Mountain Bakery and gluten free breads from DeLand Bakery.
Our market will not only provide you with farm fresh organic produce and artisan foods, but each week we will feature music from one of the talented students of Noteworthy Music in Torrington! So, come to the farmer's market for the food, stay for the music.
