Current Petitions:
- Support The Main Street Market Place Fire Performers
Petition Background (Preamble):
One of the best known entertainments of the Main Street Market Place is the Torrington Ct Area Fire Performers. They have a history of drawing a large audience, working diligently to bring something new and exciting to each performance and greatly contribute to the attention the media has given the event. However, the current proposal to use the area designated for the fire performance as a parking area for construction equipment (used in city street repairs), if not altered, will eliminate them from the event in 2014.
Petition:
We the people in support of Fire Performers, strongly petition Torrington City Officials and the Main Street Market Place Event Planners to come up with a plan to accommodate the Torrington Ct Area Fire Performers at the Main Street Market Place in 2014.
Petitions Under Construction:
- Support Revoking the City’s Private Tax Collector Charter
- Support a Dog Park in Torrington, CT
