Sponsored by the Torrington Parks & Recreation in Cooperation with the Torrington Lions Club, the Annual Holiday Decorating Contest will held on Tuesday, December 12th. Displays should be lit from 6:00 – 9:00 PM and will consist of the following categories:  ​Members of the Torrington Lions Club will serve as judges and tour the locations of this year’s participants on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020. Torrington Parks and Recreation Department will announced the winners of this year’s Outdoor Holiday Decorating Contest after judging. There were xx entries registered in four different categories.

The safest way to vote this November is from your home? For the 2020 Presidential and State Primary, all Connecticut voters can vote by absentee due to the COVID-19 virus, pursuant to the Governor's Executive Order No. 7QQ.  Just check the COVID-19 box on the application.

  • Print, complete and sign the absentee ballot form. 
  • Drop off the form at Torrington City Hall or Mail it back so that it will arrive before Tuesday, October 27, 2020.  (The earlier the better)
  • Be on the lookout for your absentee ballot to arrive in the mail starting October 2nd.
ATTENTION — City Clerk, Carol Anderson announced this week that white ballot drop boxes are now available to Torrington voters for Election Day, Nov. 3, 2020.   The drop boxes are located at the side and front entrances of City Hall at 140 Main Street and may be used to submit completed absentee ballot application forms to request a ballot, or for the return of the actual absentee ballots.
